The Reform Party of Maryland was recognized by the State Board of Elections on August 23, 2000 and retained its official party status through the 2002 general election. The Party is governed by its State Central Committee which includes the chairs of local central committees and "incentive delegates" from each county and Baltimore City. Incentive delegates are allotted to each county based on its Party membership relative to the State as a whole. Annually, county chairs and incentive delegates are elected by the members of the local committees.

The Executive Committee consists of the State Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, and the chairs of five committees. State party officers are elected by the members at the State Convention held every two years in the Spring, The last State Convention was held on March 5, 2000.
